My name is Cynthia Cox and I am more than pleased to enhance the already stellar learning environment at Cliftondale Elementary School by serving as your TAG teacher this year and beyond. For the first seven years of my career, I explored education through various levels and courses, but education of the gifted and talented is truly my niche. I have a knack for turning the ordinary into extraordinary by tapping into divergent thinking processes and uncovering a level of creativity some students never even knew they had. To say I have enjoyed the last six years here would be an understatement! Helping students grow has pushed my teaching to new heights, and I look forward to accomplishing even more together.
As a former Fulton County TAG student myself, I tend to "get" the types of learners I am blessed to teach; however, kids, don't think that means I'll be easy on you! Understand that I will always hold you to the highest of standards because we should all put forth our very best to make every moment even better than last.
In 2018, I was honored to be named Georgia's Gifted Teacher of the Year, and I still pinch myself sometimes to know others will forever be touched by what we create together. I am dedicated to making this year affable, busy, productive, rigorous, and enriching; as we know, a good learning experience is built on a cooperative effort between teacher, parent, and child. I truly look forward to everything we will accomplish together this year and asking, "WOW...How in the world did you come up with that?!"

What makes my soul glow?
ME (I'm my own best friend!)
My family (everyone else is great, but Bryce and Phoenix are two entirely dope young beings)
Music, music, music!
Knick-knacks from The Dollar Tree and Five Below (it's the little things!)
Thought-provoking quotes
Learning from and empowering others
Creating and innovating (especially recipes, parties, and decor)
Tutus, bow ties, and records
AND TEACHING...of course!
What do I avoid because it has the potential to get in the way of my soul glow?
Negativity
Lack of reciprocity
Unwillingness
Unfortunate smells (lavender and vanilla give me a headache)
Guess who was born SEPTEMBER 10th?
